CurbAlert started as a simple idea inspired by a tradition I picked up while serving in the Air Force in North Dakota. Every Sunday, my friends and I would drive around military housing and local neighborhoods looking for "CurbAlert" free items and yard sales. It was a fun way to spend the day, find useful items, save money, and keep good things out of the landfill. As time went on, I noticed that most curbalerts were shared through scattered Facebook groups. Every town, city, military base, and region seemed to have its own page. Finding items often meant searching through multiple groups, scrolling through old posts, and hoping someone had posted clear directions before the item was gone. That's where the idea for Curb Alert was born. My goal is to create a single, easy-to-use platform where people can quickly post and discover curbside items, yard sales, giveaways, and local deals. Instead of searching through dozens of different groups and websites, users can simply open a map, see what's nearby, and start exploring. Whether you're looking for free furniture, household items, collectibles, yard sales, or simply enjoy the thrill of finding something unexpected, CurbAlert is designed to bring communities together while helping reduce waste and give unwanted items a second life. CurbAlert is currently an independent passion project built and maintained by a lifelong New Hampshire resident. The platform is free to use, and every improvement is driven by the goal of making local curb alerts more organized, accessible, and useful for everyone. If you enjoy the platform and would like to help support hosting, development, and future features, donations are always appreciated but never required. Thank you for being part of the Curb Alert community. Donation Link : buymeacoffee.com/curbalert
