CurbAlert respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why. Information we collect: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile photo. We store a username you choose, pins you create (title, description, photos, and the location you drop), and basic usage data such as approximate region (derived from your IP) and visit counts. How we use it: To operate the map, show your pins to nearby neighbors, send the alerts you opt into, keep the community safe (moderation and abuse prevention), and improve the service. Your real name and Google photo are kept private — other users only see your chosen username. Location: Pin locations you create are public on the map. You can choose whether to display a precise address. Your alert location is used only to notify you of nearby items and is never shown to others. Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run CurbAlert (such as Google sign-in, map and email/push providers) and when required by law. Your choices: You can change your username, turn alerts on or off, delete your pins, and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. Cookies & storage: We use a secure session token (cookie and/or local storage) to keep you signed in. Contact: Questions about this policy? Email us at the address on our Contact page.
